My TT720T with Navcore 8 recently installed is saying far too much. I get a message when I join a new road - something like "continue on M6 for 80 miles towards birmingham". Within a minute or so, I get another message, almost the same except it says 79 miles. Another minute later I get another message -78 miles - and so on. I'm not sure but it seems that this is nothing to do with adjacent or nearby junctions but it could possibly be to do with a change in direction (curve or whatever).
I can't find any settings to make TT shut up for a while once it's told me what to do.
It's driving me mad... Anyone help ?

Hi Thermoclin
I too have a 720 but have never had the symptoms that you describe. However, I have only recently installed Navcore 8 and since doing so I have not been on a long stretch of road such as a Motorway. I will be doing so in the next few days and if Jane keeps blabbing away as you have described I too will get very annoyed.
I feel sure that I have read something similar to your current problem but I cannot think exactly where. However, I have no doubt someone will soon reply to your cry for help. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.

Try this. Speech Preferences--second screen--disable the 'keep to highway lane' instruction. |

The clue is in the T designation for your device, try disconnecting the RDS receiver (you won't get any traffic information) but the constant nagging will stop. Then ask TomTom why, with a detailed explanation of the fault, the units only seen to nag when the RDS is connected from what I have noticed - Mike |

I read in another topic that it stops nagging so much if you get the v8 maps. |

Hi Tomo
My Gawd, Agh! I’ve just read your comment. Keep a low profile before the female members hunt you down. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.
