this seems quite hard. is there a trick to it or do I just slide it off using as much force as necessary! Not keen to break it!

Should just slide off with little force required? _________________ Darren Griffin |

The 920 mount is the same as a 720. I find holding the neck of the mount with one hand and with the thumb of the other hand on one side of the unit and the fingers on the other and then giving the unit a little rock side to side while applying upward pressure should do it. |

Mine has one
Thumb underneath pushing TT up and fingers pushing down against mount works for me _________________ Andy

As has been said, it both gets easier, and softer to acheive (removing it from the mount, before the innuendos start again ) over time.
But, if it helps, let me share my method - and it's a one handed method at that.
What I do, is wrap my thumb under the BOTTOM on the device, and my four fingers over the top of the TomTom.
Then, I press with my middle two fingers, down onto the top of the neck of the mount further round, over the back of the device where i placed them. At the same time, I press UP with my thumb.
And I find that doing this, pushing the device up with the thumb, and in effect PULLING the device up by pushing down on the mount neck/up and away with the device, using my fingers over the top, makes it a doddle to get it off.
Practice this, and you'll get it - the key is the bit with the fingers though - getting them over the top, and using the middle two to press onto the mount neck, to use this to propel the device UPWARDS away from the mount.
Once you do, you can reverse the principle, and come to be adept at getting it ON with one hand too. |

I use the two handed method myself............ easier and a quicker release |

My 720 just slides on & off with one hand. No need to hold the mount at all. The only thing that's a little awkward is lining it up in the first place. _________________ TT Go Essential |
