Hi,New to this.
My Garmin 760 seems to avoid motorways. There is cetainly not a motorway choice to go that way.Even places where i go, which i know the motorway is the quickest route albeit the longest,it still wont take me on the motorway.Even when i'm almost on the motorway it still trys to divert me away from it.After having a buit in sat nav in my cars for years, and they were all nav teq maps and no ploblems at all with mapping, hence i made sure i would sellect a mobile sat nav with nav taq,the garmin 760 my choice,i was shockek on the FIRST day useing it on the doorstep near my house it missed out the road leading on to my estate.I dread to think what will happen when i go on long journeys.Maybe the tom tom would have been better.John |

Mine doesn't avoid motorways. Have you checked your Avoidances? Make sure Highways aren't selected?
Try giving us a start point and an end point and i'll have a look at the route.
As for the maps, none are 100% so TomTom could have been better or worse. Even if TT did have your road it could be missing another one. |

what version of maps do you have? new units with old maps are usually entitled to a free upgrade to the latest version
