I have got a new map to download to my tom tom 930t but it says I need to remove 2923.2mb for it to install
Where are the maps stored so I can copy them to my hard drive and install the new files as it will not let me put them on a memory card.
Cheers

well i assume, they'll download into a "download folder" in HOME then install onto your unit. I'm almost sure they won't download and install directly onto your tomtom unit.
If your PC is telling you :C is full, the only way is to free up at least the amount of space the maps require, then look into buying a HUGE Hard drive a 250GB is cheap as chips these days. |

Just checked and 111gb free?
I'll try it later when I have more time.
Thanks for help so far as that makes sense now.
Cheers

Download will be to the PC first - normally into My Docs/TomTom/Home/Downloads but you can change that location in Home's preferences.
THEN it is installed to the Go and you should be able to install to either the internal memory (if there is room) OR to an SD card.
You MUST do a full backup using Windows Explorer first, not just the map folder!
Then if you decide to put it on the internal memory and need to make room, just move one of the named map folders off the internal memory. |
