If I add a 2G SD card to my TT520 then will is act just as though there's more internal memory? I want to add more mp3s but am running out of space.
Anyone know? |

Create a folder in the root of the SD card and put the mp3 files in it, insert the card and the TomTom will use both internal memory and SD card, the x20 range will also support the larger SDHC type cards should you need any more space - Mike |

As I'm sure Mike meant to say... the folder needs to be called "mp3" - just like the one on the internal memory.
You can do the same with photos, text files, and additional maps. |

Excellent - thanks for the help.
Is there a max size of SDHC card the 520 will recognise ? (this is a bonus - I didn't know it supported these). |

4GB is the largest the TT can read and write to directly.
You CAN use larger ones (8GB and even 16GB) and load it with mp3s using an SDHC-compatible card reader, and the TT will read it fine.
But you can have problems if you also put a map on the card as the TT is likely to try to write to parts of the card above the first 4GB when it can't. |
