Hi,
My tomtom doesnt seem to keep its battery charge. I have to plug it into the cigrette lighter all the time. The charging symbol flashes like it is charging but when i pull the lead out it switches itself off and wont switch on unless i plug it in.
Thinking it was a battery problem, i bought a new longer life battery and fitted it. At first i thought it had worked but now its gone right back to how it was previously. Its a pain because i cant use the tomtom when walking around which could be useful.
Anyone had the same problem? any help or advice?

What TomTom model, as there is loads of them now to choose from

sorry i forgot to say its a TomTom One V2
I have posted on the mentioned link - but have since managed to change the battery as mentioned. This hasnt solved the problem but thanks anyway. |

The light is only an indication that the external power is being applied.
Your symptoms would suggest that there is a problem with the charging circuit.
You're best course of action might be to have a word with the guys at SatNav-Shop.
