TomTom 720 Plus Traffic phone issues

Hi All

I have a TomTom 720T and have been thinking of coughing up the subscription and paying for the enhanced traffic service rather than using the RDS/TMC system. I know there are some rigid requirements for which mobile phone / contract will work with the TT service. The problem is that TomTom do not offer or sell trials of their traffic service so it's impossible to check if all will work well until after splashing out a non-returnable 30 quid.

I was wondering though... The weather service (also a plus service) uses the mobile phone to collect weather data, presumably through GPRS. If this works successfully with my current configuration (which it does), would it be safe to assume that the Plus Traffic service would also work ?
