I'll be adding PocketGPSWorld's speed camera database soon but I need to disable the in-built database.

What is the recommended method of disabling or uninstalling TomTom's speed camera database from a One XL?

It's very easy to remove the TT cameras. You can use HOME2 and remove them via "remove items from my XL" (they will be listed under the Points of interest heading or you can simply delete the Safety_Cam_UK_TomTom.xxx files from the device.

Thanks. I had a feeling it was on the 'remove items....' page of home2 but I thought it best to check.
Backup first of course.

I wondered why my Go shipped without the TT speed cams. I don't want them but, if I did, I would have to buy them without being able to try them first.

Judging by the number of people asking how to remove or disable them, I guess they were included when they purchased their devices.

About as useful as a chocolate teapot....
