Thought I'd start a new topic on this as I'm fishing through all the various threads.

http://www.bikehike.co.uk/ I've successfully exported test routes from this to the A10.

...and I've found this one.

http://wheresthepath.googlepages.com/wheresthepath.htm Still to test exporting routes though.

Both work under Apple OSX using Firefox. Both report the same error (below) under Safari.

Error: "Your browser does not support vector rendering. Currently supported renderers are: SVG VML"

Hi foxprint
Both sites look interesting. I like the Google one but as yet I haven’t been able to export the route. However,I will fiddle with it until I overcome.

Thought I'd just add that Camino is also supported for Mac users. Come on Satmap, let's have SatSync for Macs!

Picked it up from a walking forum, i've successfully exported a route from this to the A10 - no height data though. Any thoughts......

The height data the a10 uses is from the map data on the device, all you can do is create your route on the PC, upload the route to the active10 then move each waypoint on the device by a small amount. You will then be able to see the height profile.

A neat application using OS maps on line that works with the a10 - nice find - Mike

That's what i did Mike - works a treat! It's not even moving it (the waypoint) really - its more just a double press of the top right soft key once the waypoint is selected. I suppose you could even just select a few key waypoints to "edit", the overall profile would be less populated but climb and descent would be the same.

Hi fatchef
That’s the best and easiest bit of OS mapping I have yet seen. Cheers. I must admit I haven’t yet purchased the Satmap but I am following the forum with great interest. I keep a record of the problems solved on the forum and when I finally take delivery of the Satmap (if) I will be ready to go man go..
