Garmin Mobile XT POI Updates

Just wondering if there are any updates to the internal POI's on Garmin.

I know you can add your own POI's which appear in the Extras part of Garmin, but wondered if the ones found in the "Food, Hotels..." .. can also be updated.

Some of these are really handy, such as the ones with telephone numbers.

It would be nice if they would all appear under one heading, rather than searching in both Extras and Food, hotels ... is this possible?

What I was wondering is, how do the Food, Hotels POI's get updated .. is this part of the maps themselves, or a separate file

the 'built in' pois are stored in the map data itself so will only be updated with new maps

the ones in extras, food hotels and more are custom ones which you can download from here: http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=POIs and install using poiLoader

The internal POIs are built into the map data so the only way to update them is to buy a new map i'm afraid....
