Hi everyone,
I posted yesterday asking for advise on buying new map for Tom Tom 300 Go and had several helpful replies.
The reason I am asking for help is I was making a back up onto my PC and clicked move instead of copy, managed to stop moving all the files but now the Tom Tom won't recognise the Disk.
Is there anyway I can find out what files to look for on my PC as I haven't a clue what was on the card before I made my mistake.
I can tell anyone what is left on the card, and I have asked on a Vista Forum if there is anyway of finding files moved onto my PC but looks like a dead end.
If its a new set of maps then I will buy some.
Any help would be appreciated, sorry if its in the wrong area.
thanks

Can you remember where you were trying to copy the files to? A folder you made called "Backups" or something?
Hopefully the files you moved will be there, so just moving EVERYTHING back will restore things (It might have been better to let it finish the "move" rather then stop it halfway, but hindsight is always a wonderful thing!)
The complete list of files will be pretty long, but I used to have a Go300 so I cold produce a list from an old backup if REALLY neccessary.
Have a good look through your PC first. Have you thought of doing a search for files created in the last day or two? |

Think I might have found them (with luck) on my PC and its kind of you to offer to help me.
I am going to put the files back on and see if it works.
Once again thanks for your offer.
