Has anyone any experience with this combination using the Holux RA-38 lead. According to the Holux website this set-up should work.... but it doesn't.

CoPilots' Autoscan, (having downloaded the Bluetooth manager fix from Handango first!), can't find the Road Angel and nor can Holux's GPS Viewer, so I'm stuffed for the moment. Holux UK don't answer the phone so I'm waiting for an email reply from Taiwan... that should be interesting!

I'm thinking that maybe there should be a Holux driver, but the only one on their website for Arm processors doesn't do anything either.

Any thoughts??

I'm a little confused, why are you using a Holux cable with a Road Angel? Is this the one they recommend to connect to the iPAQ?

Assuming you are connecting via the sync port at the bottom then this is COM1. Set CoPilot for COM1 @ 9600 (The Road Angel's default port speed) and see if you get any comms.

Thanks for the replys. I'm using the Holux cable as that is the one recommended buy Holux, (they make the Gps unit inside Road Angel.

Unfortunately the guys at CoPilot tell me that Road Angel simply won't work with their software which is a pity 'cause 'though it's a tad flaky at times, I think it's a great package.

I also have a compact flash CoPilot system installed on a iPaq 5450. I often run it alongside the Bekker system in the car. Both systems use NavTech mapping and generally deliver the same routes, so I get the superb voice commands from the Bekker and CoPilots moving maps.

Thanks again,

Paul
