|
|
Just bought a second hand ONE v2 off amazon. I actually thought I was getting a ONE v3 but actually quite happy as I'd rather have a SD card slot.
The only thing I'm not sure if I'm missing or not is does it normally come with a restore CD of some kind? I'd like to restore it back to its original factory condition if possible. |

I'm pretty suree the cd just has "home" on it. No maps or anything else useful.
I've got my old box somehwere and I'm 100% sure I've never used the cd. _________________ -----------------------------------------------------------

Which makes it vital that you backup the entire contents using Windows now, before you make ANY changes.
Instructions are in the TomTom FAQs topic in the "stickies" near the top of the topic list (or click HERE)
It's well worth reading all of them, to get an idea of what you can add on to your new toy.
Welcome! by the way. |

I feel a bit of an idiot now. After having to spend out updating the maps on here I may as well have got a new one. |

Couldn't you return it if you didn't get what you ordered? _________________ Anita

No I think I'll stick with what I got. Worth it for the SD card slot. I've been looking through the tomtom website trying to find out how you check what the latest map version is. Not had much luck so far. |

I meant return it and get a new one elsewhere, as you said "I may as well have got a new one". _________________ Anita

Map version:
Latest is v715.xxxx
Check what you have by tapping the signal strength bars on the main display and then tapping the small box with software version on the next page. |

Same as ebay really, buyer beware. I'm quite happy with it so I think I'd rather not go through the trouble. |

Yeah I checked what version. 660.1199
I don't think the previous owner ever bothered updating the software or the maps on it. |
