Have you got this one on the database!
It's apparently used by the North Walse police and hidden in a horse box !
Whatever next ????

Hmm, I'm normally slowing down to make my bike backfire when I pass horse boxes so I can't see that it will be a problem for me. _________________ Gone fishing! |

Jeepers, Mr Brunstrom really does have it in for motorists doesn't he! It won't be long before we have the disguised they use on the continent such as cameras disguised as wheelie bins and hidden behind the grilles of unmarked cars. _________________ Darren Griffin |

What on earth are we coming to when you have to put a disclaimer like this on your trailer !!
" Horse enthusiast Alys Hale says that the problem has got so bad that she has put notices on her trailer stating that it is not a speed camera. " |

saw this just after it appeared, imho it makes the ordinary coppers job harder as a lot of people will get the hump with them. How about mr blunstom or whatever actually putting more coppers on the beat, getting the lowest crime figures in the uk and then he can argue that this is the most important thing on the agenda!!!
Oh and didn't he refuse to reveal how many coppers got caught by speed cameras!!!! nothing like a honest copper |

Quote: | An 'insider' claimed to a national magazine that the device is being trialled on the Horseshoe Pass, near Llangollen, a popular route for many bikers.
The claims were proved when a photographer spotted the horsebox with officers inside seemingly using a speed camera. |
I've read the magazine report and it sounds to me like Motorcycle News was tipped off (by the Police - always be suspicious when journos cite "anonymous tipoffs") to send a photographer and a journalist to the location where they found the cops with a horsebox.
I smell something funny and it isn't horse manure. I think the horsebox was a one off PR stunt.... Quite apart from anything else, this type of camera would take two coppers to man it and they aren't going to do that when they could make twice as much money with two speed traps... _________________ Gone fishing! |
