is it a delivery company's website?
they could just be utilising the google map api like we do for the submissions page
however, there are numerous ways to get coordinates into the map you could either use a GS data log (which i would have tought had more than 3 points?!) or you can put in a post code / address or just find an area on a map and manually add coordinates...
it's not really conclusive proof!

the map is from a Bailiff company (DRAKES ) and yes its the nasty lot that was on telly.
they are using this as proof for them attending my home.... like you say its not good
I another words this can be changed to any date and time. if so its not real time tracking ie: the van moves and sends its speed location back to a office somewhere?
I have spent some time on google map and can almost make a page look the same by adding placemarks!
If i can prove this is a fake set up, i can post it in a forum about bailiffs. Most people wouldn't know if its fake or not if the bailiff was to tell them they have gps tracking!
If anyone is intrested in why:
The Reason i want to know if they made up the proof is that i'm wanting to fight this in court as the company have made force fees and over charged me byŁ650! robbing T****RS |

i'd ask them for proof of their gps tracking. point out to them how easy it is to knock up a similar website using placemarks in a google map api set-up etc.
ask them for a live run of their set up, maybe ask why their log only seems to have 3 points in it...
in the circumstances it may be worth asking a solicitor but i don't think that a gps 'log' with 3 points on it is sufficient evidence as 3 points can easily be manipulated - indeed even one with thousand of points could be manually edited, ok it'd take a while, but it could be done.
