Is it possible to get tomtom map share for tomtom one 1st edition if I bought the new map or is it only for the newer devices, I live on a new estate (1 year old) and obviously tomtom has no idea where I am.
Or is there a updated postalcode file out there?

Map share should work on your device if you have a map version 675 or later and the latest version of the tomtom system software (7.something).
This may not help you with your problem, however, as map share does not allow you to add missing roads to your map. It does allow you to submit a request for a new road to be added to a future map which tomtom will then offer to sell you.
As a first step, have a look at the Google map for your area, these maps are provided by Teleatlas who also supply tomtom. It's a reasonable bet that if your road is not on the Google map it wont be on the latest map available from tomtom.
There is an updated postcode file available for download but I cant find a link for it at the moment. I'll come back and add a link when I find it unless anyone else beats me to it. |

Thank you Richard, I couldn't find a working link to download them anywhere. |
