n00b question - Evesham NavCam 6200

Hey guys.. apologies if this is in the wrong section.

Im a Satnav n00b really, been using my 6200 for a year now, but fancy having a play about with it! Has anyone swapped over the software for something different? Was looking on the Evesham site, there is a newer one that looks better, i believe the hardware is the same tho! Any hints / tips appriciated
