POI editing program

Is there an application I can install on my computer which will open the Tomtom MapSettings.cfg file, allow me to edit the entries, then save the file again as MapSettings.cfg?

I have found that PoiEdit does not save in the .cfg format.

No but why would you want to? The best format for your POI's is the .ov2 file format.

rather than save your POIs as Favourites, create a Custom POI group i.e. 'Family' etc and dave your POIs there. You can create as many as you wish, Family, Friends, Good_Pubs etc

The resulting .ov2 files can be copied to your PC, shared with others and edited using POIEdit and other .ov2 edit programs. Favourites should really only be used for temporary scratch pad addresses.
