You won't find a modified data.chk file as that method is not supported, instead have a read through THIS Page which details how to get spoken alerts using the new method and houses the various voice pack downloads - Mike |

Can you check which speed camera database you have got installed, is it single file, consolidated by type or speed zoned, also make sure the spoken alert voice pack you have downloaded matches the camera database type. The file names have to be the same for this to work, for each POI category there will be three files within the map folder:
pocketgps_uk_gatso_30.bmp (the icon)
pocketgps_uk_gatso_30.ov2 (the database containing locations)
pocketgps_uk_gatso_30.ogg (the spoken alert)
You haven't re-named any of the POI files or voice files per chance have you? - Mike |

So long as you have the consolidated speed camera database files and the consolidated voice pack it will work, you don't need to re-name any files at all, the only reason I asked is because some people have re-named files in the past and had the same problem.
Can you open the map folder using Windows Explorer and double check that for each .ov2 file there is a coresponding .bmp AND .ogg - Mike |

'Fraid not.
If you bought a paper map you wouldn't be able to go back to the shop after a couple of years and swap it for a new one. That's how companies make their money.
If you've got a map later than v675.1409 you can use MapShare from TomTom to make and receive MINOR changes, but no new roads or anything. |
