|
|
I've just bought a tomtom one v2 from ebay. Details are: firmware 7.162, WE maps 660.1256. I have a couple of questions:
1) Is there a newer version of the firmware, perhaps one that would enable mapshare? Or is that an issue with the map?
2) What is the latest version of the map? The device has a 1gb sd card. Can I downlod the latest map and still fit it onto this sd card or do I need a bigger card? What is the newest map that would fit onto this card?
Many thanks

I used to have a v3, but it was only for the UK so I sold it and bought a v2 europe (by mistake). Is 7.166 only for v3 and is the 715 only for v3 and is there a different updated map for v2 sd cards?

I'll get my lost cause out of the way first...
It isn't a v2, its what was called the ONE "New edition" (now re-named by TomTom as the "Second Edition"), which may be seen by Home as a v3 or v4.
And it isn't a v3, it's a "Third edition" which is actually a v6....
As for the software, v7.166 is for the ONE 3rd Edition only. The most up to date software for the ONE New/Second Edition is v7.162.
Maps are at v715 for all models, so long as you are running v7 software (not available for the Rider yet).
I have compiled lists of software versions HERE and Map versions HERE |

Hello ... I have the One 3rd and can not find USA_&_Canada. I see the North America but that is 2GB and USA is 1GB.
If anyone has them, can you let me know that map number (715.xxx)
Thanks |

How are you looking?
If you enter the "ONE 3rd Edition" in the TomTom MapShop page you should get offered "USA and Canada" which is 878 MB.
It's v715, but I don't own it so cannot tell you the built number. |

Which One Third Edition do you have, if it is regional then it only has 512MB of flash memory so the USA map won't fit and this could be why you are not being offered the map - Mike |

North America 2GB: 715.1712
USA and Canada 1GB: 715.1712
Same build numbers for both versions. |

The firmware you have is the current version. Mapshare needs a v675 or later map. That's why you can't access the function at present. _________________ Gerry
