Just wondering...
I have Nav 2 with the UK maps and have purchased the maps for France as well as I drive over there quite often. I was wondering if when I get my Nav 3 upgrade for UK, would I be able to use the version 2 map of France with it (albeit maybe with some functionality missing), or will it not work at all and I will have to purchase the new version map of France as well.
Has anyone tried this?
(PS: I'm not trying to break the law or anything... I'm just curious... and also a bit stretched for money at the moment, to justify purchasing the map of France right away.) |

No, TomTom 3 is not compatible with V2 maps, and the same is true for the other way round. Laet's be realistic - this wouldn't make business sense.

OK just read this on TomTom's site about the upgrade:
