|
|
I've recently upgraded to CoPilot 7 on my T.Mobile (Windows) MDA Compact 2. I am shortly due for an upgrade and as I have other issues with this particular phone, I would welcome opinions on the best phone on which run CoPilot 7. I also need to be able to synchronise Windows Outlook and run Windows Excel
Any advice greatly appreciated |

i take it its speed issues that are affecting you if your staying on t-mobile then id go for the vario 3 this should offer all the power you need including builting gps if you want something a little smaller then id go for an mda touch or touch dual but neither of thiese have the builtin gps.
if you are willing to move to O2 then id recomend the orbit2 as this ticks all the boxes and has gps
ive just moved to the orbit2 and its much quicker due to the bigger processor _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .

Thanx for that Alix.
I'm a bit a luddite when it comes to computerspeak.
I've compared the processors and I believe the O2XDA is 400Mhz compared to the MDA's 201Mhz.
Is that what you meant, and does that mean that the O2 device has twice the operating headroom as the MDA?
Thanx for taking an interest!! |

If you stay with T Mobile, then take a look at the Vario 111, (Not 2 or 1.) |

Thanks guys,
Have gone to O2 with their Xda Orbit 2 that has CP7 built in. Excellent phone and CP7 works troublefree, including when I accept incoming calls (previously used to freeze the MDA Compact2). |

And were there some speed camera files pre-loaded to the memory card? - I wonder where they came from?
Its a cracking device, great as a phone, mobile internet and navigation unit - Mike |

Hi Mike........Yeah, safety cameras were pre-loaded, but I updated them from the ALK website anyway, as I had no way of knowing how long O2 had had the Xda in stock and therefore how old the safety camera file was.

I'm happy to report we supply speed cameras for all the devices ALK sell through O2 so you can be assured they are the best _________________ Darren Griffin |
