This poll is for the purpose of showing some of the numbers of subscribers who have or haven't managed to acheve a lifetime status. Also to show that both regular and non regular members are able to gain what is effectively a thank you for your help.
Remember that this database of safety cameras would not be as effective or as accurate if it wasn't for the input of it's members.
Once you have managed to get a lifetime subscription please don't stop submitting cameras, as all the updates and new additions go towards a more accurate database.
(Please refrain from posting questions regarding individual cases here as they may not be read by the powers that be. Instead post your questions in the appropriate forum) _________________ Dom

What I would be interested in seeing is some offical statistics if the Team would indulge on how many are and arn't lifers, how many are active and how many don't even bother. If they have it of course? _________________ Dom

I'm a life member, although my lifetime expires in 19 years, 79 days according to the website.
I paid my yearly subscription and got my life membership by being first to report a new monitron camera in London. I first noticed something going on when they dug up the foot path, put in a big grey box and hen cut grooves in the road to embed the 3 sensor strips. They put the camera up a couple of weeks later.
It was a few weeks before the submission was verified (the position was slightly inaccurate ) and I was awarded lifetime membership.
This was a little while ago, I think new cameras are reported very quickly now so it's quite competitive! Keep your eyes peeled folks and good luck. _________________ Gone fishing! |

We do have stats but trawling them for historical records isn't as easy as it is now.
Taking the last round of awards as an example, we had about 60 qualifying submissions of which half were already lifers.
It does demonstrate that a large proportion of those who report and win an award continue to spot and report cameras. _________________ Darren Griffin |

all i could give you (after trawling through loads of files) is the number of new lifers from each release. i've no idea how many were given it when the charge came in.
as for actual numbers of subscribers i presume mike would have to harvest this from all the forum / membership stats?
back to the original question though, i was offered lifetime membership twice - once sent to my old paypal email address from a donation i made to the site and the other to my main email address for some camera submissions i had made! i wasn't greedy though, i only accepted one of them!

Just to say that, yes, I also received the lifetime membership (20 years, 218 days to live). Not sure which camera it was as I submitted a couple around the same time and only knew when the left column got updated - no email etc.
Do lifers get told when they are first again (eg the half that did this last time)? _________________ Gerry
