Hi guys,

I've just got my new TomTom ONE today, and tried setting it up with my phone. Bluetooth connects fine, but it says it's 'Unable to set up your wireless data connection' on the TomTom.

I use a Nokia N70 on O2 Pay-As-You-Go in the UK.

Does anyone have any ideas? Crying or Very sad

IIRC O2 PAYG does not allow GPRS-Internet Access only GPRS-WAP. Your service must have GPRS-Internet for use with TomTom.

So... in short, can I get speed camera updates and any of the other TomTom Plus features?

Well you can get Speed Cameras from us, better, more accurate, more frequently updated etc etc! Oh and cheaper!

Other PLUS features will not be available without a suitable connection.

AdamCr,

I had loads of problem trying to get O2 to even understand the problem.
I tried a friend's Vodafone and it worked instantly.
So I changed to Vodafone, which worked perfectly.
I would also look at T-Mobile as they are doing an unlimited data package, which looks very good value.

Cheers
Paul

Does Pay Monthy (contract) O2 support a wireless data connection, as I seem to be unable to get connected to download updates via bluetooth/mobile GPRS???

I have the same problem too. I've tried lots of combinations for log in details, but none seem to want to work for me. On an O2 contract here.

By default full GPRS access is blocked, to enable it contact the network provider and ask them to enable GPRS on your contract, it only takes a short time - Mike
