bmw sat nav speed camera advice

I'm changing cars to a new bmw 3 series with pro-nav in a few months, this means I'll be able to update the dvd supplied with the speed camera database.

This gives me visual warnings of speed cameras but I'd also like sound warnings which the bmw system can't do.

I was thinking of simply putting a small satnav device in the glovebox using an external antenna and to this end I purchased the external antenna for my wifes tomtom one.

So testing in a car I can hear voice instructions well enough but the tomtom isn't powering on and off with the car ignition.

doing a bit of resaerch this seems to be a bit of a mess re: tomtom, some have this feature some don't.

So what I'm looking for is

1. Small sat nav
2. Reasonable volume output
3. Must power up and down with car ignition as I won't look at it
4. External antenna must be available
5. It must be able to give sound warnings for the speed camera database from this site.

I did read somewhere that you can disable the battery in navman systems making them come on and off with ignition, would the navman S50 be any use?
