...could this be why it now doesn't turn on? The green light appears to show it's charging, but it will not switch on. Is this a likely reason why it won't start? How can I get it fixed? I've heard only a specialist should look at it...

Have you tried doing a reset and then try to switch it on again. _________________ NEW Tomtom GO 500 (hope it is good)
iphone (running all day, doesn't like it)

It's highly unlikely that having it plugged in whilst you start the engine has caused a problem.
As has been suggested, try a reset, if it has a memory card, remove it and reset as well ands then report back here. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Does it smell like a burnt plastic sort of smell if you hold it to your nose? If you have let the blue smoke out it stops working. |
