Compatibility of maps?

Hi all
Newbie 'on-road' user - experienced marine navigator here.
I have Garmin portable and fixed and an old MLR as standbye.

I have an iPAQ with TT Routeplanner US ver 3.10
TT Navigator EU ver 2.02
This is not really suitable for motorcycle use and I'm going to tour the West Coast this year

I also have an Acer V200 EU ver.

My question:
Is there a conversion prog or whatever so the TT maps can be used in Destinator 6?

Not possible, maps are proprietary to each manufacturer and (licence conditions aside) no-one has managed to convert any-ones maps to another format.

As I suspected - just the same with digital marine charts.
You end up with so much invested in charts you are effectively tied into one manufacturer.
I was kind of hoping that wouldn't be the case with mapping, but se la vie.
I'll have to buy a Destinator 6 US version.

Destinator who are happy supply Acer with their software and maps say they do not know which maps to supply.
Acer dont want to know.
