Garmin registration code?

Hello, Ive just returned home from Canada where I bought a Garmin C330 satnav from Canadian tire($199.00) as i was totally lost one day trying to get around Calgary. When I left for the UK i ripped the box up and threw the packaging in the bin not realising there was some sort of registration card in there... like you do... Sad

Obviously theres no UK map on the thing so when ive tried to register it on line im a bit rolloxed.... Will i have to throw it in the bin now ?

Hi and welcome.

I believe the slip of paper that comes with the unit is an unlock code for the supplied maps.

I'm not sure you need this to register the unit as i believe you need to specify the Serial Number of the unit instead, which should be on the back of the unit. It mentioned in the preface of the manual - C330 manual - 1.5 Mb PDF

thanks but there is another screen after the number on the back that asks for the registration code...

can i purchase the sd cards with maps on with out the code?
