New to all this but here goes. When I run webupdater on a new C510T it finds the device ok and says I need software Version 6.00. Downloads but then says there is not enough space on disk.
I have a 2GB SD card in and unit reports Software version 5.90 installed which from reading other posts looks like a Garmin ghost version. |

I'm seeing someone this week who has the same problem with a 660FM.
Can you confirm you are downloading the firmware to the PC and running it from there and not on the unit itself? |

Paul, I have checked and have the following if its any help to you:
StreetPilotc5xx_regionfileonly__60[1].gcd 7327KB GCD file in temporary internet files
The only updated files on the Garmin are:
GarminDevice 14KB XML document
GUPDATE.GCD 0KB GCD file
006B048201 32KB bin file (from the first try) |

Update.
I tried the update via the downloadable file and it tries to install to the Garmin which can't take the 7Meg file, changed it so it pointed at the SD card and all worked ok.
The problem I can see with webupdate is it will only point to the Garmin and not the SD card. |

Thank you. I suspected this was the case and have already downloaded the firmware seperate from WebUpdater.
I've just done a dry run and it states "Please select the letter that represent your card reader" (or simalar..) |
