Garmin GPS III and Sony Clie NR70

I recently purchased a powered cable to connect my Garmin GPS III to my Sony Clie NR70.
I want to know what I need (maps??) to by able to see my position on the Sony Clie.
I tried the Rand McNally maps but they don't show the position from my GPS.
Are there any city maps available for the clie that are free?
