And guess what, on a 23 day old 920T I do not get offered any map updates via Latest Map Guarantee!
Sound familiar, I think we have been here before!

My 920T is only 8 days old, and home is telling me I have the latest maps and there are no updates available.
Good old tomtom

When I connect to Home, and check for Latest map Guarantee I get.....Your new map is available....Click 'Get Now' to download and install it for free.
But the 'Get it now' box in the bottom right corner won't activate.
Anyone else got this problem |

I know I am out of date to get the latest map for my 520 it says I am upto date, but I thought for fun I would check the US map I brought 2 weeks ago. When the SD Card is selected it says new map available "click get it now to download and install for free" but guess what? the get it now button is greyed out, what a shocker, not! _________________ TomTom Go 950 Live.

Doris, was it the Western Europe map that you downloaded? In that case, could you please check some locations for me where roundabouts are missing in the 710 map? Are they still missing in the 715 map? The coordinates are:
N57.72712 , E11.96936
N57.72736 , E11.97100
N57.73142 , E11.97537
N57.75355 , E11.94779
N57.75788 , E11.98692
If roundabouts have been added, that could be an indication that "non visible" MapShare updates actually make it into the next map release.
Thanks, Ulf |

It offers me the WCE map through Home for £79.95 as a recommended update, but LMG still thinks I have the latest map.
A new version of Home and the same old problems........ plus a few added random ones for good luck! |

I would love to be a fly on the wall at TomTom's headquarters at times like this. The whole system they have put together is so riddled with problems they just bounce from one crisis to the next.
The more they "tweak" Home, the more bizarre it becomes. |

I also know I'm not entitled to the new maps, and have W&CE 7.10 in internal memory.
When I select Internal Memory and check Latest Map Guarantee it tells me my map is up to date. If I insert a blank SD card and select that then, like you, I'm told there's a new map available but the Get it now button isn't active. I suspect the map being offered, if it was possible to get it, would be 7.10. _________________ Anita

Well, I bought mine around Christmas with 7.05 maps, and a few days later, I got the 710 maps for free :-) |

Why is everybody complaining?
TomTom's record right now shows ...
New maps November 2006 (v660)
New maps April 2007 (v675)
New maps for x20 series (v705)
New maps November 2007 (v710)
New maps February 2008 (v715)
They also offer a Latest Map Guarantee so that you can get the latest map if a new one comes out inside 30 days.
For the GO920, they also offer free maps for a year at ...
http://www.tomtom.com/page/1yearmaps (for which all you need is the number on the leaflet - I got my 920 on 28th December, but it doesn't have number ).
Now don't you think that looks like a company which is striving to provide top rate service to its customers? - New maps every six months or less and Latest Map Guarantee in case you buy a new device just as they're releasing another new map.
Why the hell am I not a happy bunny? _________________ Dennis
