does anything else work with medion smartphone MDSP150?

Hiya folks.
first time poster.
Managed to win the Medion MDSP150 from ebay for a few quid. basically it has a t-mobile sim in it with virtually no credit (incase of emergency) and it gets used ONLY for travelling to gigs with the band.
I've found the medion software is nice BUT it seems way too slow to respond and sometimes its like the voice command hasnt even finshed and we're up to or past the turn!
managed to get us lost in newcastle that way.
I somehow managed to get Route66 going on it and it works champion but the voice alerts are so numerous that it ends up with us getting annoyed at how many times an instruction is given, but its a lot faster than Medion navigator.
Has anyone else managed to get anything else working on these?
like an early version of tomtom?
have tried loads of things and none of them even install.
I dont want anything that required GPRS data transfer tho.
