I've been trying to get the above combination to work in SIRF mode. I can place the 303mmf into SIRF mode when using the compactflash interface and it works perfectly.

How ever when I then plug the 303 into the bluetooth slipper any of the gps programs I've tried (tomtom, winfast navigator, gpstweak) do not recieve any data.

Is this usual? Is it possible to use the slipper with the 303 in SIRF mode?

Thanks,

Mike

I can't help because I have the exact same problem.
I'm using WinFast Navigator on an Ipaq 2215.
I've tried it on 2 different 2215's 1 with the old 1.0 Rom and BT 1.4.1 build 58 Update and another one with the new 1.10 Rom Update.
I've also tried on 2 different BT401 slippers.

I can also change all kinds of settings while the CF card is installed. I can see SIRF data while the CF card installed.
I can see NMEA at 4800 baud ONLY while using the slipper.

Anyone have success with this?
or is 4800 NMEA a limitation of the slipper?

Hi,
I too have had the same problem, and it's been discussed a bit further down the forum.

No one seems to have an answer, other than a bluetooth port may not be bidirectional,(hence you need to have a physical connection to send data to change the receivers output to sirf)

The only help I can offer is that Haicoms own version of GPSInfo will work in Bluetooth mode, but you have to establish the Bluetooth conection with your Bluetooth Manager before you start the GPS programme
