Sorry if this has already been asked, I did a search and couldnt find much but I am looking for a vent type mount for my tomtom one, have read somewhere on here about the Brodit ones before but cant find it. Hopefully someone can point me in the direction of one, one last thing, it has to be easily removed if possible. _________________ Graham

DSL Developments are a good UK agent for Brodit.
Make sure you get the right one:
Original ONE
ONE New Edition
ONE Third Edition
The vent clip itself is not easily removable. Check out the "Move Clips" for a removable plate for the mount itself. I can't find a page for them, but there are pictures of two sizes if you scroll down any of the pages above.

Thanks for the reply! Am I right in presuming you buy the pro clip and then attach the mount to it? Also is the one new edition the same as the third edition? If not whats the difference? _________________ Graham

Been looking for something myself. I like the Brodit stuff, but found this http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=160938 which looks suitable, cheap and worth a try. Not a vent clip though, but probably suits my needs. |

Yes. Also add a "Move clip" (available in two sizes, if you want to make the mount removable). Scroll down the "what others have bought" pictures to find them both.
(All works out quite expensive in the end!)

As far as I know, yes they are the same (same part number...). Don't quote me though! |

Surely not Richard!
TomTom ONE (now called by TT and others the "original") Part numbers 4N00.001 / 4N00.003. Recognised as "v1" by Home
TomTom ONE "New Edition" as written on the box and so described by TomTom. Part numbers 4N00.004.2 / 4N00.005 / 4N00.012 . Recognised as "v3" and "v4" by Home.
But once the "3rd Edition" came out, TT couldn't refer to the old one as the "New Edition" any more, so they now refer to it as the "2nd Edition"
TomTom ONE "Third Edition" Part numbers 4N01.001 / 4N01.002 Recognised as "v6" by Home.
Easy!
(i'm sure there are other part numbers, these are just the ones I know)
EDIT: AAAAHHH now I see what you're getting at!!
I meant that the Brodit part numbers for the mounts for the two models are the same! |
