All my Gatso voice warnings seem to be accompanied by an annoying Bong. I don't remember this always being the case. Is it possible to stop it doing this?

I would check that you have not enabled the TT cams by mistake and you are getting a double warning.

Thanks. Could be. Can you tell me how to check? I still have the TT cameras on there. Should I delete them?

You may find it is the audible warning you have set.
When you set up the warnings for the cameras you are asked what sort you want, i seem to recall a screen with loads of symbols on it for various sounds. Whichever one you have set is the one you need to disable.
ah got it,
Manage poi
warn when near poi
then you have a choice, one of which is sound effect then it goes to the bells and whistles page.

If you do, make sure you do a proper back up on your PC first (not just via Home).............then you can test if the deletions have worked without worry. Wink

..............if in doubt back it up! Laughing

No its not that, because he already has a voice warning set.

This will be that the warnings for TomTom's own camera database have got switched on too (or switched themselves on!) as if1977 says.

You disable them by going to the TomTom Plus Services menu (main menu page 3 on mine) hen "TomTom Safety cameras"/"Disable Alerts".

I've had exactly this since I upgraded with the latest version (v 7.something). I haven't checked it out yet though. I had the sound on the motorway as well.

Thanks everyone. Andy was right; the TT camera warnings were enabled. I don't know how as I have never been in that menu.
Back to normal now. Thanks Andy.

What you might have is the (warn when going faster than a sertain speed ) or words to that effect checked. If you have this checked and set at say 60 mph as soon as you do 61 mph you will get a bong hence getting them on the motorway.

I will list how to check it shortly or someone else could if they know it to heart. Laughing Laughing

If you go into (Change preferences) in the menu screen then tap the (safety preferences) then second from the bottom you will see (Warn when driving faster that a set speed) and above it also (Warn when driving faster than allowed), make sure these are unchecked. Does this fix your problem swebb
