A couple of alternative Mounts have been looked at recently.
One is Here.
The other is Here. _________________ Richard

I'm tempted by this Flex Mount.
At the moment I've got a rigid disc stuck to the top of the dash, which works well, but I think this mount with a flexible base could be better.
I've bought other stuff from this eBay shop, and had no problems, but it's also available from PDAmods. _________________ Anita

I have to admit that my TT720 mount is excellent. It hasn't fallen off once. Are you tring to stick it to a curved piece of glass? |

Had a similar problem in where to mount a 720 in my 2001 a6 allroad.
Finally had to make a mount which fits neatly in the cupholder with a plastic disc on top.. The 720 has not moved and is ideally placed for driver and passenger, obscures no controls and is clear of the airbags.
Additionally , when removed it leaves no visible trace .
The body of the mount is a round plastic gutter to downpipe adaptor easily altered to fit snugly in most cupholders. |

I can't believe how bad the standard 720 mount is.
I managed to make it as far as the first speed-bump (about 2 minutes) before it fell off.
I've had some cheap mounts in the past for my PDA and none of have done this.
I'm interested in that Flex mount but there doesn't seem to be anywhere to plug in the TMC cable. |

Must be down to the windscreen, I think.
My 720 mount has never fallen off (my 300 one did occasionally) |

I've had a GO300 and currently a GO720, and neither has fallen off the windscreen, as long as it's clean inside (it's suprising just how much dirt comes through the air vents, even with filters!)
I've now found that my patent method of sticking the suction holder to a CD jewel case and sliding that in the CD storage slot under my radio is a far better option
I would put a link to the pic I posted in the forum, but I had enough ridicule about my Honda the last time!

I deliver Hire cars and lorries and my 720 standard mount gets moved to different vehicles lots of times each day. It has never dropped off (having said that it will probably drop off on Monday).
I am however looking for a Bean Bag Mount similar to the one I had when I had a Garmin nuvi. Can anyone recommend one? |
