Destinator 6 TTS

I just bought D6 for my Asus MyPal - I have had Destinator PN with UK&Irl but need the European maps now - on PN I never for the TTS to work - the button was always greyed out and the console did not have a TTS button either even though the manual said it should have.

To my utter irritation, D6 has the same issue - the manual clearly implies that there should be a TTS button on the console but there isn't! and I can even see the files for the TTS voices (e.g. Emily) - what am I doing wrong? how do I activate TTS for D6? I know that there is athread somewhere which says just copy the Emily voice file to your devide but it doesn't say where to put it :-(

As it happens I like the look on PN better so could I just reinstall PN and use the maps from D6? can anyone help me to get TTS working on either?

I´m sorry sir but in your Asus with PN this option is not available and in destinator 6 is not in any other device either, I don´t know why but it has been so.
Now in destinator 7 (released in November) is available in every device compatible with destinator 7. But if you have just purchased destinator 6 I personally would wait until destinator 8 and enjoy destinator 6, but I don´t know yet the date of the release. TTS and maps 9 months newer are the main differences. But that of course is your choice.

As you already found out there is no TTS with D6.

For PN there is a HighQualityTTS which can be downloaded from the Destinator support page.

Thanks - I have tried to install the High Quality TTS from that site but it just doesn't work for me - there is no way of enabling it - the Destinator console doesn't have the right button and when I go to the Settings/voice alerts page the words 'TTS Activation' are there but no tickbox...
