|
|
I recently bought a TT One and have been able to succesfully make, download, and use ov2/bmp files.
For larger POI files (I only have about 3 or 4 POI 'category files'), meaning a single file with a large number of records - say 100 or more, only about 25 are showing on the device.
I have this problem with files that I create AND I have this problem with POI files downloaded from pocketworldgps.com (I tried the US Starbucks file with about 9,000 records).
I have plenty of room on my device (over 50 MB) and the Starbucks POI file only took 512KB.
I've tried everything I can think of ..... STUMPED!
Can any one here give me some insight? Thanks in advance. |

The unit will only display the nearest 20 (ish) POI file locations that are nearest to your position, if you want to find other locations try the Browse Map / Cursor button, then select POI and your category, this will force the device to list the nearest POI files to the on screen position of the cursor. - Mike |

If you have an idea of the Name, of the one you want, you can use the Find Button.
You can use any part of the Name, it doesn't have to start with the first letter. _________________ Richard

My MANY thanks to "mikealder" and "Oldboy".
Works exactly as you prescribed. I have been trying to get an answer from TOMTOM support on this and they didn't seem to have much of a clue.
Thanks again, Mitch |

TT customer support is rubbish in my experience. Been waiting 18 months for a reply to 2 e-mails. This after phoning them umpteen times and them not knowing what to do.
Take your money quick enough, but don't ask them to fix anything.
rant over. _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |
