Road Preference Speed settings

I drive a lot in the country and find the routes on my 970T are pretty good. However, it does do some funny things, a bit like the slip road issue mentioned in other posts. Today it took a perfectly sensible route “Quickest” following mainly “B” roads, but at the end instead of continuing on the “B” road and looping around to the destination it directed me down what at best was a “C” road \ track, which OK got us there, but was just passable. Is it possible as in “Autoroute” sorry I said “Autoroute” to configure road speeds or preference thus avoiding this odd routing? Maybe using the “Content Manager” rather than on the unit.

It also exhibits the same odd routing close to my home, I drive down an “A” road which I would follow to the end and turn left, the unit starts on this road then turns into a very narrow lane, which may look quicker, but due to the drop in speed takes much longer. This is OK when you know where you are but annoying when you’re relying on it.
