garmin maps ?

i have two garmin sat navs is it possible to update the uk maps for my sat navs

The current maps are v9. The v10 (2008) are out soon (-ish, sometime, next year).

If the system was like the v9 maps you can get a free DVD with the maps but you'll need to buy an unlock code (~£45) for each unit.

Do you know what maps you currently have?

sorry i dont know what maps ar installed how do i find that out will the unit tell me this ?

What unit do you have?

You need to look for something like "City Navigator Europe NT v8"

On my i3 i get this from Settings, Map, Map Source.

Maybe different on your unit.

I have just bought my Dad a C510T for Christmas. I will ask him to check which maps he has loaded on. Do Garmin offer a free updgrade in maps when V10 come out to current users?
