Speed cameras on M42

Looking at the map on the Speed Camera Database page for inputting new cameras I was surprised to see a couple of new symbols for which I could find no key, one was a childs dummy which I assume meant the camera was a dummy and the other was a black asterisk on a white circle with red ring, what does this mean? and are the dummies placed at the dummy speed camera locations?
Is it really true that very few of the cameras at the various locations along the M42 are fakes and if so how do you find out?

The childs dummy does indeed indicate a position where there is a dummy camera located, this might appear to be a camera box or simply calibration white lines on the road surface, there is no camera at the location. The Pocket GPS World Speed Camera database is a database for speed cameras it does not contain locations where there are no cameras!.
The red circle containing the asterisk is to denote a Gatso Variable speed camera type, these are located on the M42 and M25. - Mike
