Sorry to be a pest, but do any of you folk have recommendations for a screen protector for the TTG720?
If so who do you get them from because I can't seem to find them at anything other than a rip off price!
Ta!
Wazza.
PS. The reason I'm doing this is I'm off to bed as I have to be up at 4am! |

I wouldn't bother with one to be honest, the device is quite happy without a protector fitted (as are the other PNA devices IMHO) - use your finger to prod the screen rather than your finger nail and it will work just fine.
Screen protectors can induce false screen presses and lead to all sorts of confusion as the device heats up (the trapped air induces pressure on the screen as it warms up) - I don't like screen protectors on the PNA units, and if they were necessary I am sure TomTom would sell them - Mike |

Oh well, I guess I won't bother then,Ive got some old PDA styli with very rounded ends on to use on the TTG so not to mark the screen, then again I might just use the rubber end of a old pencil.

I see where the moderator, Mike, suggests that they are not necessary.
But I am concerned about an UNprotected touch screen. While using a stylus is not necessary, I recall drawing a stylus across an HP device once and hearing a searing sound - obviously a tiny piece of grit was somehow trapped and marred the screen for about an inch!!!
So what are the various opinions on protecting or not, the screen?
Recommendations for type from those who use them. I'm in the US.
Thanks. |

I would have to agree with Mike on this. A screen protector can be more hasstle than they are worth. _________________ NEW Tomtom GO 500 (hope it is good)

I have the Expert Shield screen protector on mine.
Reflections are slightly higher, but given that choice or my wife's finger nails (her mobile phone buttons get worn off quite quickly) it's a given that it is needed. |

I still have a PDA which is now 4 years old. I use the provided stylus, my finger nail or the cap of a ball point pen. I have never used a protector, and the screen is completely unmarked
