Can anyone help me?? I last night downloaded the latest map and speed camera updates and gone to Tom Tom Home v 2.1 but when it finished it had a flashing hard disk on the the screen and a red flashing cross....can anyone please help? I have only had it a day, thinking of sending it back for a full refund, should i of done a back up first? I wasnt aware of doing any kind of back up? I am using XP, any ideas? What is the first thing i should of done so i know for the next TomTom i get? Really cheesed off bout this, i dont understand why something so expensive just dies in one day?! Crying or Very sad Thank you for all the help.

You could try a Reset. See This page if you're not sure where the reset hole is.

If it doesn't work then swap it straight away.

Full Windows Explorer Backup is the first thing that should be done.

It will benefit you to read the FAQs Page. Number 1 is most important.

The red X means that the application software has an unrecoverable error. Use TomTom Home to uninstall the application, then run an update. Reset and fire up the TomTom. Very Happy
