Though not as thorough or scientific as your tests, I have no reason to doubt the claimed 5-hour runtime with BT and FM turned off, auto Night mode enabled, and volume set to 70%. I've never had a reason to run it down to 5 hours, but it still showed about a quarter-charge at around 4 hours.
With BT and/or FM on, however, battery life drops to 2-3 hours. |

Using the OP settings...
I get 40 minutes before it starts complaining the battery is low at 50%, then after 1hr 40 the 720 switches off.
Nothing like 5 hours _________________ GO 620, Tomtom Android EU,

Whilst it is possible to use the device for quite some time off the battery you will get best results from the device when it is powered up from the car, some of the early sound distortions from the speaker were put down to running off a low battery IIRC - Mike |

I'm getting about 2 hours with BT and FM transmitter on, a bit dissapointing tbh, but other than that I LOVE it. |
