|
|
I have recently bought a GO 520 and apart from the fact that the person on the other end of the handsfree conversation can't hear because of the noise (generated by the TT unit - taking it back) and total failure to get it to link via bluetooth to the BT audio on my radio (using aux input via cable) works except for the fact that I cannot find any mute facility on the handsfree menu (ie mute the microphone, not the speaker) so you can listen to multiparty conferences.
Does anybody know how to do this?
Can you get the handsfree to be a transparent icon on the screen in the same way that the mp3 player is? Needing 2 taps of the screen to get to the "make a call" option surely defeats the object of "hands free"!
Stranely enough my radio head unit (Pioneer P65BT) has the same issue - no mute facility! |

Handsfree will ONLY work on the unit's internal speaker. Ridiculous, but that's it.
Quick Menu preferences has a check box for "Call..." which puts a call icon on the screen. However, if you have more than one item in the quick menu feature, you have to go through the two taps to call. If you've already got the MP3 player icon showing, you'll have to drop it to get the Call icon alone. _________________ Dennis

Got the unit changed - can now be heard on handsfree
I already knew about the limitation of handsfree to the internal speaker. Seems odd but it could be to implement echo cancellation and prevent feedback (being generous here )
Anyone know if there is a mute facility for the microphone on handsfree?
And now I understand how the quick menu function works, not intuitive, thanks. |

But it comes and goes, so it can't be that. But how I wish they'd give us phone output to FM speakers.
I'm sure there's no mute microphone facility. _________________ Dennis
