Using Windows Explorer right click the Loquendo folder on the 910 device and select properties, what is the folder size? - Mike

This looks good, can you tell me the exact spelling of the folder LoquendoTTS, does it appear as I have typed it or is it all lower case? - Mike

After I had done my restore, I then discovered that the fold was empty. I managed to get a copy from my neigbour, but it still did not work, also my voices folder only had 2 files in it, so I copied his too and that only gave me normal speech, not txt to speech. I can get it to do one test on kate compuer voice, but then it lets me select it, but does not let me use it. Cheers Confused

Make sure you have a computer voice selected, such as Kate or Simon. Standard navigation voices such as Jane or Tim can not render and articulate TTS.

Can you list what you actually have in the LoquendoTTS Backup Folder on the PC.

Did you put the Loquendo Files in the Voice Folder, or the LoquendoTTS Folder?

You said "After I had done my restore, I then discovered that the fold was empty." Which Folder was empty? The one on the PC or the one on the Unit.

Was the copy from the neighbour done with all files and extensions unhidden? If not perhaps some critical files/extension were missing from the restoration.

Hi thanks, the folder I said was empty was the folder backed up on my computer. I did not check if my friends was un hidden, so not sure if I may have missed some files.
I put the Loquendo files into the LoquendoTTS folder, and the Voice ones into the Voice one.
I have selected the computer voices but when I try them they wont speak apart from one test try then nothing.
I am not sure how to post a list of the files that are in my folder, there are none on my pc, but when I explore the TomTom I can see them there having got them from my neighbour. Thanks

Put a copy on your PC also.

To list your files, use a program called DriveZ.

It will copy a List of Files in a Folder to the Clipboard, which you can either paste into Notepad, or direct into a Posting.

We can dismiss the thoughts that TT Home has essed up your Loquendo folder then, it used to re-mane all the files and folders into lower case which prevented it from working, this clearly is not the case.

Can you try a reset of the unit, use a pin and press the reset button which is located under the unit adjacent to the electrical connector. See if that fixes the problem, if not try pressing the "Reset Factor Settings" icon on the device (it is in Change Preferences) - you will have to reset all your camera warnings etc as this will put the device back to its base configuration - Mike

Hi mike, tried that, still no joy, I did the reset on the tiny hole on the back and I tried factory reset, but no luck. I can select the computer voice either Kate orSimon, but I get one test, unless I change to someone else, and if I choose either, then there is no speech such as when you press to change the volume, or do a demo of a route.

The only thing i can think is because it is not from my tomtom these files, I had to get them from my neigbours as they did not exist on my tomtom backup. Is this likely to affect it? Is there anyother way of getting them? I shall be back shortly after a breif shopping trip with the wife, boring!!! Crying or Very sad
