Hi
I have bought a U2 with a RS232 port. I am looking for a basic PDA and Software. Does anyone know if any PDA USB ports can act as RS232 serials.
Also any recommendations for Software (UK + Europe)
Thanks

Some of the newer PDAs have USB ports that are emulating serial ports. But this is not free of problems, and it also affects overall performance. If possible, stay clear of those machines. Get a PDA with a real serial port or get a CF or BT GPS receiver.
You need to tell more about your street routing or outdoor navigation preferences to give us enough data to recommend one or the other program to you. _________________ Lutz

Thanks Lutz
Software wise I like TomTom2 but would settle for something less good but cheaper. I need to consider UK+Europe+US - destinator ?
Regards

Yes, Destinator is an option. Other options are Mapopolis, Travroute CoPilot, and Routis/Intellinav/Socket (all Netropa clones). Those are reasonably priced and have good functionality. _________________ Lutz
