Can't get my iPAQ 2210 & Holux CF card to work anymore, everytime I go into GPS the card & driver (CF_Card Generic) is selected correctly but when I check the check box it just hangs. It's done it before but that was when it selected COM 3 automatically for some reason, I just selected the CD card & it was fine. Now I have to soft reset the iPAQ just to be able to use it again without GPS.
Any idea's? Hardware/software??
Cheers

First I would try re-installing the GPS Driver. Grab v2.07 from here. If this does not help just reply to this thread and we will try some other things _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks for the replies Darren, weird thing is I turned it on this morning & all worked fine. I'm wondering if they could be a problem with the connection from the 2210 & the CF GPS, if it were software it should always be faulty as a soft reset makes no difference. The 2210 works fine when not using as a GPS & worked fine as a GPS all day today, I did give it a good shuv into place this morn & not taken it out since. Will see how it goes over the weekend & give Holux a ring on Monday.

Another update......
Stopped working again, this time looks perminatant, not been working since last week now. Have spoken to Holux, twice who talked me through hard resetting etc & still no good. Asked me to download Winfast Navigator & see what info it spews out.....Done that & nothing. When I go into the supplied GPS program with Tomtom the little bar (spots) what move along telling you its searching now does not move at all, but the light on the CF GPS card still illuminates....This has Holux baffled. To me it looks like a hardware failure in the CF card, the iPAQ works fine on evertything else. Any other thoughts??
Where do I stand on a refund, only had the system 3 weeks, bought as a package. Although Holux seem helpfull nothings resolved after 2 lengthy phone calls & no mention of a replacement, now loosing confidence in the system as I've had minor problems since day one which all seem related.
