Hi everyone.
I have a Tomtom one GB
I have the subscription to the Pocket GPS database.
If i was to buy another TomTom one GB for my dad, can I just copy the SD card from mine to his to save time updating his and mine.
Or are the maps locked to the device?
Regards

The maps are locked to the individual device so they can't be shared. |

The maps are locked but if you mean the camera D/base then this is not and should only take seconds to copy over

However you are allowed to install the database on up to 3 devices within your CLOSE family.
Also be aware that the database owner (subscriber) is traceable from all copies of the database. Should you copy of the database find it's way onto a P2P network or file sharing site and we find it, you'll be banned and loose any remaining subs here.
I'm NOT saying you, or your father, will do this but you need to make sure anyone you share it with legitimately doesn't then pass it on to others, who pass it on, who pass it on, who pass it on, who then upload it.... |
