Sony Nav-U 50 Frustrations

Anyone else had problems trying to download updated mapping from the Sony website onto their nav-u 50?

I've downloaded software update 1.05 and paid for the updated mapping data. It won't download though and now the unit is frozen with the message 'The system couldn't find a map. Either there is no map data avaliable or the map is for an older or newer software version.'

Any help would be much appreciated.
